The following release notes are for VEHCS Version 8.3: Release Date: October 2024

VEHCS Release 8.3 consisted of the following:

  • Enabled a new tool for VEHCS Administrators to define health certificate creation based on country specific PDF health certificate templates.

The following release notes are for VEHCS Version 8.2.2: Release Date: March 2024

VEHCS Release 8.2.2 consisted of the following:

  • Azure migration.
  • Updated text to note time is being presented in GMT.

The following release notes are for VEHCS Version 8.2.1: Release Date: February 2024

VEHCS Release 8.2.1 consisted of the following:

  • Code fix to enable VEHCS Admin users to associate commodities and fee codes.
  • Updated the 'Accessing the Debit Transaction Report' and 'How to Pay the USDA Endorsement Fee for your Health Certificate' QRG's for Accredited Veterinarians, AV Support Staff, and Exporters.
  • Updated the VEHCS Quick Reference Guides screen to reflect the updated QRG dates.

The following release notes are for VEHCS Version 8.2: Release Date: January 2024

VEHCS Release 8.2 consisted of the following:

  • Added Fee Code reference data.
  • Updated health certificate processing and maintenance to use Fee Codes to calculate health certificate fees.
  • Added Submit date and Endorse date to email templates and enabled the VEHCS Admin to include dates in the email template subject line.
  • Updated the internal users' endorsement in progress screens to display the endorsing VMO's name.

The following release notes are for VEHCS Version 8.1: Release Date: October 2023

VEHCS Release 8.1 consisted of the following:

  • Added a new screen for internal users to search for health certificate by tracking number.
  • Updated messages to Notices on the Welcome page. Notice titles are presented in an accordion, allowing users to click on each title to view the full text.
  • Enhanced the creation of user notices by enabling the administrator to control notice order as well as indicate if a notice is new, important, and/or requires an acknowledgement.
  • Code fix to save the mother/calf relationship data on Canada/cattle health certificates.
  • Code fix to restore tracking number and health certificate number search on View Certificates for Internal users.

VEHCS Release 8.0 consisted of the following:

  • Implemented a dedicated login page for VEHCS users.
    Note: VEHCS users using the previously shared PCIT/VEHCS login screen will see guidance to use the dedicated VEHCS login screen.

The following release notes are for VEHCS Version 7.3.1: Release Date: August 2023

VEHCS Release 7.3.1 consisted of the following:

  • Code fix to restore AVs ability to update their own license and accreditation information.
  • Code fix to enable exporter role users to change their user role.
  • Code fix to restore tracking number search on View Certificates for exporter organization users.
  • Updated the validation for email addresses.

The following release notes are for VEHCS Version 7.3: Release Date: July 2023

VEHCS Release 7.3 consisted of the following:

  • Added a return count and return comments table to certificate summary screens.
  • Added new search criteria for external and internal users on the View Certificates screen.
  • Added the new administrative screen VEHCS Defined PDF Health Certificate Tool.
  • Added the new reference data and feature, Manage Decisions.
  • Displayed a temporary alert message on the home page, and a banner on all pages, advising that a new VEHCS login URL is coming soon.
  • Fix to restore the primary field office location default selection on the My VS Field Office Workload screen.

VEHCS Release 7.2 consisted of the following:

  • Added a Recall function for health certificates submitted to VS.
  • Flipped the options on the Manage Account - Choose an Option screen.
  • Added new search criteria on the View Certificates screen for internal users.
  • Modified the VEHCS Defined Health Certificates screen to filter out Defined PDF definitions
  • Modified the Universal Health Certificates screen to filter out Defined PDF definitions.
  • Added the Please Wait message to the Charge Fee button.
  • Fix to persist field office selections on the My VS Field Office Workload screen.

VEHCS Release 6.9 consisted of the following:

  • Updated the certification statement Statement Order and Parent Statement Order fields to allow additional statements to be defined.
  • Code fix to enable a certification statement's Single or Multi Select Child Checkbox Group checkbox selection to be changed.
  • Updated the View Certificate button on the Certificate Details screen to generate a health certificate without a watermark.
  • Updated the Manage dropdown selections to be more descriptive.
  • Code fix to prevent data from being overwritten when multiple users attempt to endorse the same health certificate.

  • Enabled AVIC role user to replace uploaded health certificates.
  • Enabled AVIC role user to void health certificates.
  • Updates to Accessibility Guidelines in VEHCS Support.
  • Updated the Shipping label QRG page to reflect the correct release date.
  • Code fix to add an additional check on My VS Field Office Workload page to ensure VMO and EDE last name, first name are populated when there is a person ID.

  • Enabled selection of an External Accredited Veterinarian Organization when an Exporter initiates an upload of a Filled PDF.
  • Enabled Exporter users to search by name or Org ID for an External Accredited Veterinarian Organization.
  • Increased the number of digits allowed for Total Quantity to eight.
  • Updated the EIA Test Date field label text for Canada/Horses Breeding/Rearing, and Canada/Horses Competition and Racing HC.
  • Updated the Sample Health Certificate generated during health certificate definition to include blank rows for commodity and certification tables, and certification statement numbering.

The following release notes are for VEHCS Version 6.5.2: Release Date: July 2021

VEHCS Release 6.5.2 consisted of the following:

  • Added a new workload screen that displays only those Health Certificates assigned to the user.
  • Modified the way license and accreditation expiration dates are entered for accredited veterinarian users to ensure the format saved is MM/DD/YYYY.
  • Updated the behavior of attachments, horse photos and shipping labels to open upon selection.

VEHCS Release 6.5.1.1 consisted of the following:

  • Code fix to verify that the status of the health certificate displayed on user's screen matches the status saved in the database before performing the user requested update.

The following release notes are for VEHCS Version 6.5.1: Release Date: June 2021

VEHCS Release 6.5.1 consisted of the following:

  • Enhanced My VS Field Office Workload to enable EDE and VMO assignments and reassignments.
  • Enhanced My VS Field Office Workload to enable filtering the List of Certificates by the EDE or VMO assigned.
  • Updated VS's Certificate Details screen for defined, universal and AV uploaded health certificates to display the EDE and VMO assigned and to enable reassignments.
  • Updated VS's Certificate Details screen to enable entry of Reviewer Notes for health certificates in Reviewed status.
  • Updated the validation on field length for Printed Name. Up to 65 characters can be entered.

The following release notes are for VEHCS Version 6.4: Release Date: May 2021

VEHCS Release 6.4 consisted of the following:

  • Enhanced the Administration Tool to identify when a shipping label is required for a health certificate.
  • Enhanced the health certificate creation process to display the new shipping label screen when a shipping label is required.
  • Enhanced the health certificate creation process to require that a payment method be selected before a health certificate can be submitted to VS for endorsement.
  • Added additional validation upon health certificate submission to check the health certificate's status.
  • Updated the reissue process to copy container identification information to the new health certificate.
  • Updated the hyperlink on the Certificate Details screen for AV PDF Upload Reissue to return the original health certificate.
  • Updated code to prevent a browser's autocomplete feature from filling in the Inspection Date field.

  • Maintenance release to update email addresses associated with application automated alerts.

The following release notes are for VEHCS Version 6.3: Release Date: September 2020

VEHCS Release 6.3 consisted of the following:

  • Enabled users to upload files that have spaces in their filename.
  • Enabled internal users to add attachments and mark them as addendums when a health certificate is in Review in Progress and Reviewed status.
  • Enabled multiple VS field offices to be selected in the My VS Field Office Workload screen.
  • Added max length character validation for the Reissue Reason when an Accredited Veterinarian requests a Re-issue Certificate.

  • Code fix for AV re-issue certificate requests.
  • Code update to enable Exporter Organization users to add and delete attachments when requesting a re-issue certificate.

VEHCS Release 6.2 consisted of the following:

  • Enabled internal users to upload PDF certificates associated with any state or territory of origin.
  • Added the Accredited Veterinarian business contact information to the internal user's Certificate Details page when processing AV uploaded filled PDF certificates.
  • Updated code preventing USDA Veterinary Medical Officers from updating data associated with completed Accredited Veterinarian filled PDF certificates.
  • Updated the left menu options for external users.
  • Enabled external users to upload a filled PDF certificate when the process is initiated using a saved template.
  • Added file name validation when files are uploaded to VEHCS.
  • Updated the validation messages displayed during re-issue request submission.
  • Updated the text on the submission Confirmation page.
  • Removed the Associated VS Field Office label and text from various pages.
  • Updated the Log In screen for the Training System to more clearly identify that users are accessing the Training System.
  • Made miscellaneous updates to the VEHCS Support page.
  • Updated the affidavit note text associated with the Mexico / Horses /Immediate Slaughter Health Certificate.

  • Updated bilingual Health Certificates by adding the Spanish translation for the six signature blocks.

  • Add 'Other ID/Tattoo' field at Commodities page for Cattle.
